What’s new in z-weave 4.3

February 12, 2026

The z-weave 4.3 update enhances visualization, simulation control, and overall usability, delivering clearer and more consistent results throughout the workflow. Improved rendering quality and precise shape control provide greater visual accuracy from early design through final review.

Streamlined interactions reduce repetitive pattern edits and improve efficiency, while expanded avatar support enables more reliable fit simulations across a wider range of age groups. In addition, z-weave continues to expand beyond apparel design, supporting broader product design use cases such as bags and furniture.

Explore what’s new in z-weave 4.3.

High-quality renderer (beta)

GPU-based photorealistic rendering for complex materials such as knit, silk, and jacquard. Preview visual results in real time with accelerated performance, powered by AI denoising and 4K export support.

The High-quality renderer is fully built into z-weave, so there is no need to switch tools or move outside your workflow. With a single click, you can generate fast, photorealistic results directly inside the application.

Designed for speed and ease of use, it delivers high fidelity rendering in seconds. No add-ons, no extra cost.

Rigid material

Compared to the existing Harden option, which primarily increases bending resistance for stiff materials, the new Rigid option is designed to better preserve the original shape of a pattern piece during simulation.

This makes Rigid especially suitable for elements that must maintain a fixed form, such as bra underwires, bag structures, corset components, and fabric based furniture designs, where accurately maintaining the intended silhouette and structure is essential.

More avatar types

In addition to the existing woman and man avatars, z-weave now supports infant, toddler, child, girl, and boy avatar types, enabling fit simulations across a much wider range of age groups. These built-in avatars allow designers to evaluate fit quickly and efficiently without additional setup.

z-weave also supports the import of external avatars, including Alvanon, ensuring flexibility and compatibility with existing fit standards while maintaining an easy-to-use, built-in workflow.
